12 months before wedding
- Plan a wedding date
- Visit different ideal venues and book the venue
- Come up with a dream board for your wedding theme, styling and decorations
- Start researching on bridal attire
- Prepare a checklist
8 months
- Shop for wedding bands
- Shop for bridal gowns and suits and make a booking
- Book your actual day photographer and videographer
- Book wedding date with ROM and the official
4 – 6 months
- Go for the first gown fitting and suit fitting for your pre-wedding photoshoot
- Do your pre-wedding photoshoot (earlier will be better for overseas shoot)
- Plan your honeymoon
- Book your makeup artist
- Finalize all wedding vendors (decorators, florists, caterers etc)
2 months
- Send out your wedding invitations
- Go for makeup and hair trial
- Go for first fitting of gowns and suits if you haven’t done so for pre-wedding shoot
- Organize your food tasting session
- Buy all bridesmaid and groomsmen outfits
- Finalize guest list and start planning table arrangements
1 month
- Book a church rehearsal date for 2 weeks before wedding
- Start working on any DIY decorations
- Have fun at your hen night and stag night!
- Brief your bridal entourage on their duties
- Finalize your actual day programmes
2 weeks
- Go for final fitting of gowns and suits
- Confirm all timing and run through the day’s program with your makeup artist and photographer and videographer
- Complete your montage
- Go for haircut or dye your hair if you are intending to
- Go for facial appointment
1 week
- Collect your gowns
- Finish up on the minor preparations
- Go for manicure and pedicure
- Pack for hotel stay (if any)
- Start packing for honeymoon
Eve of wedding day
- Collect hand bouquet and tie up car decorations
- Confirm timing with makeup artist for the next day
- Have a restful day and eat good food
- Stay hydrated and sleep early!
Actual day
- Hand all duties to your bridesmaids and groomsmen or planner
- Enjoy your wedding and don’t sweat the small stuff!
- Embrace the moments and don’t worry about what comes next
